The fruit, gently flavored, is made by soaking "Wakayama Prefecture's Nanko plums" in alcohol, then sealing them and drying them.
This is "Nanko plum" from Wakayama Prefecture, the largest plum-producing region in Japan. Plums have long been referred to as the "king of all medicines." We used the aromatic, soft-fleshed Nanko plums, which are ideal for making processed products such as umeboshi (pickled plums) and ume juice.
お酒に漬け込んだ「和歌山県産南高梅」を密漬けして 乾燥させた果実のやさしい味わいです。
生産量日本一の梅産地、和歌山県の「南高梅」です。ウメは古来から「百薬の長」とも言われています。香り豊かで、果肉のやわらかい、梅干し、梅ジュースなどの加工用に適した南高梅を使用しました。
