Gyoza (Japanese Dumpling) Expedition Japan! 餃子の名店に行ってきました!

I went to the famous dumpling restaurant, Sankouen , which was also selected for the Gourmet Awards on Japan's largest gourmet review website.
It's a place I've wanted to visit for a while.
The dumplings here have thin skins that are smooth on the surface and offer a nice chewiness.
The filling of the dumplings strikes a perfect balance between meat and vegetables, aligning perfectly with my taste. The slightly sweet dumpling filling pairs wonderfully with the flavors of green onions, garlic, and aromatic vegetables, complementing the thin wrappers just as advertised. It was as delicious as its reputation suggested. After enjoying a few without any sauce, I tried them with ponzu sauce, vinegar and pepper, and vinegar chili oil.
日本の最大手グルメレビューサイトのグルメアワードにも選出された有名店、餃子の店 三幸園(白山通り店)に行ってきました。以前より訪問してみたかったお店で餃子の皮は薄手で表面はツル、コシ強め。
餃子の中身は肉野菜バランスが取れた型の餃子で私の好みにピッタリの餃子店です。少し甘めの餃子餡が青ネギとニンニク、香味野菜の風味が薄皮とマッチして評判通りに美味しかったです。タレを付けずに楽しんだ後、ポン酢、酢コショウ、酢ラー油で楽しみました。



Since I can't visit frequently, I'll attempt to recreate the experience at home using
frozen dumplings that I keep in stock.
I made a slight adjustment to the cooking instructions on the frozen dumpling package.
While the package states that water and oil are not necessary,
I added a teaspoon of sesame oil after placing the frozen dumplings on the pan to try it out.
The rest of the cooking process followed the package instructions.
The only difference was that I tried to give them a slightly stronger sear,
similar to the way Sanskuen's dumplings are cooked.
I feel like I came somewhat close in terms of texture and aroma.
I encourage everyone to experiment with their own variations without
overcomplicating things.
頻繁には訪問出来ないので、自宅にストックしている冷凍餃子で再現を試します。
冷凍餃子のパッケージの記載の作り方を少しアレンジ。パッケージには水も油も不要とありますが、冷凍餃子を凍ったまま並べた後にごま油を小さじ1杯追加し試してみます。後の作り方はパッケージそのまま。唯一、焼き目だけは三幸園さんの餃子の様に少し強めに焼き目を付けてみました。なんとなく食感と香りが近づいた様に思います。皆さんもあまり凝らずにいろいろアレンジしてみくださいね。
