With the belief that we do not want to use anything unnecessary, we carefully crafted this drink using green tea and matcha as the main ingredients, blended with organic sugar, organic brown sugar, and a touch of lemon juice to add a refreshing note. While using flavorings might make it easier to create a richer taste, we remain committed to our strong philosophy of delivering “a flavor as close to nature as possible.” By staying true to this principle, we have achieved a taste we can truly stand behind. The water used is also natural spring water from Higashi-Hiroshima, contributing to the clean and authentic flavor.
Although the teas used are labeled as green tea and matcha, the green tea itself is actually made from tencha, the tea leaves used to produce matcha. Tencha is cultivated using a method called shade-growing, where the tea plants are covered and protected from direct sunlight for a certain period. When these leaves are ground into a fine powder, they become matcha. By shading the tea leaves during cultivation, their natural sweetness and umami are enhanced, while bitterness and astringency are reduced, resulting in the tea’s vibrant green color and smooth flavour"
