Grand Mount Sriracha Chili Sauce Strong Red 740mL: Authentic Thai Heat, Ready for Every Meal

Grand Mount Sriracha is a bright red Thai chilli sauce, tangy and sweet up front with a stronger kick of heat behind it. It’s a smooth, pourable sauce that brightens food rather than burying it. The generous 740mL bottle is made for busy home kitchens, cafés and restaurants.

How is it different from regular sriracha?

This is the original style from Thailand, named after the town of Si Racha, not the American-made version. American-style sriracha is a later adaptation, created in California in the 1980s with red jalapeños, and it’s thick and dense with a punchy garlic-and-chilli heat. The Thai style is thinner and more fluid, so it coats rice, noodles and eggs with a glossy red sheen, and it leads with vinegar and sugar rather than garlic. The result is a more balanced, tangy-sweet sauce with bright chilli flavour that suits drizzling, dipping and cooking. Strong Red is the stronger-heat option for anyone who wants more fire than the milder styles.

Easy Ways to Enjoy It

Sriracha mayo. Stir 1 tablespoon of sriracha into 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise for a creamy dip for fries, sushi rolls, burgers and wraps.

Spicy fried rice. Add a few teaspoons of sriracha to hot rice in the wok with egg and spring onion, and toss until every grain is coated.

Quick dumpling dip. Mix equal parts sriracha and soy sauce, add a splash of rice vinegar and a drop of sesame oil.

Sriracha glaze. Brush chicken wings or tofu with sriracha, a little honey and lime juice, then roast or grill until sticky.

FUN FACT

  • The name comes from Si Racha, a town on Thailand’s eastern coast, where the sauce was first made to pair with the plentiful local seafood.
  • Traditional Thai sriracha is made from ground red chillies, sugar, vinegar, garlic and salt.
