This is "Yaki Shio," a roasted salt that preserves the full flavor of Shima-Maasu, the salt most loved in Okinawa for generations. The Shima-Maasu is made by carefully filtering naturally sun-dried salt from Mexico or Australia while dissolving it in Okinawan seawater, then slowly simmering it over time. With an additional step of thorough roasting, it becomes a fine, easy-to-use, free-flowing salt. It can be used in a variety of dishes, such as pickles and grilled fish, and is also recommended as a table salt.
沖縄で最も永く愛されてきたお塩シママースを旨味そのままに焼成した「やきしお」です。 メキシコまたはオーストラリアで作られた完全天日塩を沖縄の海水で溶解しながら丁寧にろ過したのち、じっくりと時間をかけて丹念に炊き上げてつくったシママース。そこにもうひと手間かけ、しっかりと焼成することで、サラサラとした使い心地の良いお塩に仕上げました。 お漬物や焼き魚などあらゆるお料理にお使いいただけ、食卓塩としてのご利用もおすすめしています。
